About Me

I am a teacher by trade but a confectionery artist at heart.  As a child I spent hours in the kitchen with my grandma Ella. She made cakes, cookies and pies to swoon for... all from scratch with no written recipes!  I learned early on how treats can serve to preserve precious memories of good times spent with families and friends. This stayed with me when I started my own family. Making custom treats for my children became tradition. One year I stayed up all night making a Lalaloopsy birthday cake for my youngest daughter. After finishing it around midnight, I  professed that we would not be cutting the cake because I had become "attached" to it.  I decided at that moment that I was going to make cakes that people did not want to cut. 

So began my goal to make other people happy with specialty sweets. I believe that a delicious cookie or a decadent cake goes a long way in celebrating a milestone event, professing ones love or simply saying thank you.
